The Sampuoton Spa is the first fish therapy designer concept spa in Malaysia. A unique trait that sets it apart from the rest, the highly-priced Garra Rufa fishes from Turkey found at the Sampuoton Spa are known to rejuvenate and relax the soul while providing great beautification benefits for your whole body.
Fish Therapy
In Turkish Spas, the Garra Rufa live, breed and feed off the skin of spa patients. Only consuming disease-afflicted skin cells and naturally dead skin cells, they allow for healthy skin to grow.
Truly a unique cure, the omnivorous fishes ‘nibble’ on the dead skin cells present on the surface of the skin while exuding a mild enzyme that prevents the fast development of cells on the skin.
A standard treatment takes approximately 1 hour in which you completely submerge the area to be treated into the tank filled with the Garra Rufa’s. Relax while they get to work. Once they’re done, lavish yourself with a soothing massage that will help nourish the skin.
Does it hurt? No, The only thing you’ll feel is a mild tickling sensations as the fishes rids you off unsightly dead skin cells which helps promote better blood circulation.
The Opening Ceremony was on the 28th March 2008.
